Kiron Skin Care

The men’s skin care market is one of the fastest growing markets in the world, making it extremely competitive, and making customers extremely loyal to their own personal brand. The name Kiron comes from Chiron, the Greek God of health, who was an archer Centaur. He desired to be more humanistic and compassionate than his Centaur brethren, and so he learned how to take care of himself and the creatures around him. The Greeks elevated him to God-like status, and he achieved immortality, because of his love for human beings and his compassionate nature.
Most men don’t believe they need to use skin care products, or that they are somehow less of a man because they use them. This Proof of-Concept appeals to those men with masculine, classic design, and straight forward ideologies. Packaging for the series uses rich, dark, mahogany brown wood textures, straight edged, tech-inspired typography, and clean, simple packaging shapes. All this inspires men to think differently about what they’re putting on their face and body, and to realize that taking care of your skin is not just for women.
Type used was Blender. It is a modern sans serif with chunky forms and minimalist curves. It was designed to be used for schematic drawings, with its ease of legibility and clear shapes. It works well in this instance, in a situation where keeping the design straightforward and simple is vital.
